I have a bluetooth acore gps ag-600 that i use with my ipag 2210 and mapopolis. i last used the gps last summer and tried to used it again. but mapopolis takes too long for gps to track satellites and will not track any for an hour. i also use destinator and it also the same thing. any ideas on what is wrong with the gps device? anybody knows how to reset the gps. the cd with the manual pdf file does not display properly. also acore web site does not exist any more. any help will be appreciated.
If it was my device I would discharge and recharge the GPS a couple of times to ensure the battery has a good charge. I've experienced a couple of GPS in the past that get very poor signals is the battery has a low charge. Also I would recommend deleting and recreating the BT connection with your PDA. Let me know how you get on?

thanks for the help. discharged and fully charged last night. tried this morning but was too cloudy so not sure if that was the problem. will try again in the afternoon if it clears up.
my gps is still not tracking. in the gps status in mapopolis, it has 1 satellite in view, tracking 0. it was not cloudy yesterday and it was in the front dashboard mirror and probably for 30 minutes, but nothing. i know i tried before and not sure it it was more than 30 mins.
Have you tried another app incase it is Mapopolis that is at fault. There is a free app on the home page of PPF you might want to try? http://www.pocketpcaddict.com/forums...ools-free.html If that doesn't work I can only suggest your unit has failed for what ever reason. If you have a steady hand as a last ditch test you might want to retouch all the solder points in the unit, might be a dry joint, particularly between the aerial and the circuit board giving a bad signal. Lucky for you though BT GPS have dropped a lot in price so a replacement would be very cheap now.

i have also tried another map software called destinator still no tracking. i will try the free one as well.
i will probably find a store here with bt gps, so that i compare if it is my bt gps that is broken. i found 1 store here but they still sell them more expensive than ebay.
what is your experience in failed bt gps?
