4gb sd card

i have recently purchased a 4 gb mini sd card, i put it in my ppc6700 and it worked good for a couple hours. suddenly i get a message asking me if i wanted to format the card for the ppc. i said yes and then it formatted it and said it was successfully formatted. now the storage card will not show up in either my ppc or my desktop computer. what should i do? any replies are appreciated.

Hi there,

I've looked to see what size memory is supported by the PPC-6700 and oddly I can't find anything except that it has a miniSD slot. Date wise it is in a grey area where it might be it only supports up to 2Gb. Have you tried with a smaller card to see what happens?

It should support a 2gb. I am not speaking from experience other than that I know for a fact that it doesn't work with a 4gb anyway your slice it. It would work great for about 4-5 days and everything would be gone except for folders with periods as their names. I am currently running a 1gb for the shear fact that is all bestbuy had at the time and I needed something. If you find anything out on this please let me know as I had plans to upgrade to a 2gb.

where did you get the mini sd card? it could be counterfiet, my corworker is running his 6700 with a 2GB and he has it loaded.

counterfiet cards are like 256MB that have hacked MFT's
