so ive been trying to connect my 8125 to my home unsecured wireless network but ive been having trouble.
my PPC says that im connected to the network but when i attempt to browse the web with the Internet Explorer it says the page can not be found.
ive had success with other access points and ive messed with my settings but i think i need some more tips. ive tried manually entering my IP address and DNS server but i cant seem to figure it out
Ditto, except that I can connect to Google or Ask. My problem then is to know whether I am going thru my wireless lan or thru some Cingular link over the phone lines.
I would like to disable the Cingular internet link but have not been abel to figure out how. Am afraid to use the net substantially while PROBABLY on the Lan (but possibly on charge/per/byte service.

just do a search, theres a hundred mentions of how to delete the MediaNet service, basically just delete the connection in the Connections settings.
but anyways, i was doing some searching today and i finally got access to my wireless router's settings. the only thing i was able to discover (before i had to rush off to work) was that theres an error on a port forwarding task that seemed to be associated with my PPC's IP address. im not familiar with port forwarding but could someone tell me if this could be the cause of the problem and how to possibly troubleshoot this issue.
any help would be appreciated, i know everyone prob gets sick of the 8125 WLAN questions here lol
sooo seems like i can get access to my router now but only right after i soft reset the device. when i turn off the wifi and then try to re-enable it it isnt able to pick up the connection again. seems like i have this problem on all wireless networks too
anyone else notice this problem? i have a feeling its not just my phone
