hp hx4700 very very dark screen

Hello guys,

I have problems with my hx4700 hp pocket pc .

When I change the battery and I turn on the pochet pc again , the screen is compeltelly dark. U can see that the system is on , but everything is really dark. If I attach the pochet pc to the Power supply , the monkitor becomes bryte as it should be.

It seems that something is not working with the batteries eventhough they are fully charged, or at least the system tells me that they are 100 % charged , in except for the backup battery that tells me that is id at 25 %.
This 25% low battery message appears , but it goes away when the Standard battery , recharge the backup battery.
But eventhough the battery backup and the primal battery are shown at 100 % , the light is still off , and u can not see anything. If I plug the Pocket pc ( with the battery installed ) to the Power supply , the light turn on.

What I can do ??

Is it possible that the backup battery died ??
Can I change it by myself ??

thnk u

Hi,

I have never used a HP device before but I'll try to help. Do you have a software on your pda that lets you manage profiles? if yes, go into the details for the profile you use and luckily you'll be able to change the backlight from dark to light. I have an Eten M500 and Eten has done a wonderful job by including a profile manager on their device. Maybe there is something similar on yours or there must be something that lets you adjust the backlight on your device.
