After following all the steps for updating my PC for the new DST, and then ditto for Outlook 2003, and updating MS sync to 4.5 version, every time I sync the time reverts back to non DST. My PC has the correct time so that does not appear to be the problem.
I've removed MS Sync and reinstalled it, did a hard reset on the phone, reinstalled all the patches relating to time zones, etc, but still the problem persists.
Now I've got the Cingular boys working on it but they haven't suggested anything that I haven't already tried.
Wonder if anyone else has expereinced this and find a solution?
I'm sure you already did this but I didn't see it listed in the steps you took so I'm asking just in case. Did you update your device with the new patch?
Here's the latest. After many unsuccessful attempts to download the three steps Windows Mobile shows for configuring the Cingular 8125 for DST -- or other pocket phones -- I decided to try the instructions for "those who do not sync their device with the pc. It's a CAB file that loads directly into your pocket pc. It worked -- immediately showed the right time and after synching, it stayed with the correct time. The CAB file is WM5DST.
