Friends,
I've about a bazillion hours of cool lectures and tunes on micro SD 2g chip(s). The 8525 has nice stereo wired earphones. Great for ski trips across A-pond, but too ugly for daily use in cars.
A '94 3000GT VR4 AWD/S with an AUX radio input port worked okey dokey with previous smartphones' headphone output and cable. Nogo with 11pin micro USB from 8525.
An '05 Hemi Magnum AWD has no AUX input port. No smartphone input capability without EFFORT.
How to pipe 8525 stereo output from the 11 pin micro USB to the cars' radios? Bluetooth a possibility, but too many negatives on forums. . .
May have a workable for < $35.
IPOD & MP3 FM stereo transmitter for car $17.99 from CCS - Cell Phone Accessories - Digital Camera - Camcorder - Laptop Battery . takes wired input from 8525 and broadcasts FM signal to an FM radio station (unused frequency). Slick looking small unit powered by cigar lighter. Concept solid, as A2DP bluetooth not(?) widely deployed for FM transmission and, many say, poor fidelity and overwhelming (skips) even for 400mhz 8525 processor. Early 21st Century fun, no?
P4350Audio Jack Conversion 11 pin to 3.5mm $15.95 from SHOP.COM Updates & Improvements provides cable input from 8525 to FM transmitter. Said to easily handle stereo .mp3 output from 8525 WMP.
Some freight and a week to get here.
Will thrash it a bit and let y'all know how it works.
Please do, my fiance has the same phone as I do and he wanted to do that as well. He tried everything. Let me know especially if you find a wired way to transmit. Im not too keen on the FM transmitters as they pick up ALOT of interferance.

Dryice,
The 11 pin (in) to 1/8 inch (out) stereo jack arrived Monday; also the Songbird FM transmitter (nice small form factor).
My 8525 came with the HTC splitter which takes audio from the phone (11 pin). The jack converter fits the splitter audio port or the phone. The splitter accepts power for the phone from a charger. All good.
The jack converter female end mates with the Songbird male 1/8th inch plug. Thus, the 8525 .mp3 output is fed to the FM transmitter. Songbird has 4 frequencies: 106.7, 107.1, 107.5 & 107.9. It is powered by two AAA batteries or a cigar lighter power supply.
All 4 frequencies are in use where I live, but Songbird overrides the one I choose. It works very well with a minimal static interval when the 8525 is getting e-mail or providing appointment notifications.
Many of my Chuck Missler .mp3 lecture files are 20-30 megs (1hr+, 48kbps, 44100Hz, Mono). The 8525 bobbles a few seconds when, I'm guessing, it is loading a buffer from the SD card. It only happens about once per 20 minutes +/-. . . no worries for me. Smaller .mp3 music files seem to work flawlessly.
All in all, I'm quite pleased with the combo in my cars (and with home FM tuners), preferring my SD micro library audio to AM yakking and FM BubbleBrainGum.
