currently i have my 8125 set up to connect via Medianet. I use the proxy wireless.cingular.com and localhost in my settings. (which are the default cingular provides)
everything works great all the time but i run into a problem when i sync my phone w/my work computer.
when i disconnect my phone it has new settings (that lists my work proxy server)for my media net connection. these settings dont allow me to connect to the internet or check my mail.
i have to change it back to the default settings every time.
not a big deal really but was looking to see if anyone knew if there as something i was missing or doing wrong
steeltekki - a mate of mine has a JasJam (8525, tytn, hermes, etc) and I believe he had a very similar problem when he connected to the home PC/Server and couldn't access the work Xchange server. I will check up and see what he did if youhaven't already fixed the bug. Let me know by PM and I will check the answer for you if it will help.

hi tack, having a little trouble w/private messaging but if you get this message I would be very greatful if you could follow up w/your friend. I still have yet to find a way to keep my settings from changing when syncing w/my work pc so if he figured something out that would be awesome. thanks again.
Again as stated I don't know if this will fix your problem, however it is in a similar vain to the problem you had. A copy of our IM chat is below in the quotes, hope it helps with a clue to solving your problem.
Tackleberry says: DId you say you had a problem with your settings for exchange server when you first started connecting to your PC reverting to basic settings? Baraka sent 16/04/2007 7:40 PM: nah it tried to use my proxy server Tackleberry says: How'd you stop it? Fella on one of the forums has similar problem Baraka sent 16/04/2007 7:44 PM: i am using the telstra rom and on the telstra rom it has a program called "Proxy manager" which lets you enable or disable the proxy, to gain internet access on your phone using next g for eg. you would disable proxy and only enable it if you require it internally eg. wireless etc, but you will have to disable the proxy everytime you pull your phone out of your puter if you are running MS ISA Se Baraka sent 16/04/2007 7:45 PM: Server 2004/2006 with auto-proxy divery configured using WPAD with DHCP 252 Baraka sent 16/04/2007 7:47 PM: disable the proxy on the phone Baraka sent 16/04/2007 7:47 PM: that is, not on the server
Hopefully this give you some direction.
