I would like to know if the iPAQ hx4705 is compatible with 8GB CF and SD cards? If not, what's the maximum allowable GB for the device? Because I'm currently looking to buy either 8GB CF or SD cards.
you should not have any problems with the compact flash card. as long as it supports fat32 which is pretty much certain. about the SD card. you have to be careful wich type you get. there is the "normal" older generation SD which
i'm sure will work for your iPAQ, and there's the new gen HC-SD which is NOT compatible with older equipment. chek your manual or with HP for compatability with HC-SD. ALL the 8gb sd cards are HC-SD and some 4gb cards are HC-SD too
