I have an HP laptop running xp home and a MIO P550 ppc running wm5. Both have bluetooth which came with the machine.
I tried to sync using BT and I encountered two problems.
1. Most times, the PC sees the PPC as a "cellular phone" and not as a PDA.
2. Either way, after creating the pairing, the pc services available to the ppc are file transfer and serial port. activesync is not one of the available services.
this is after I added a serial port using the BT config utility on the pc and configured activesync to use that com port.
Ori, it sounds to me as if ActiveSync on your computer is not accessing the Bluetooth Connection (possibly you have to establish a "serial port" connection for the desktop's ActiveSync-Bluetooth setup).
