Unhappy Red Light

I have a red light instead of amber. The "Hello" screen tries to appear but for only 6 seconds, and blacks out and the red light appears again. goes over and over. One thing though, it was dropped in water yesterday. Could this have killed the battery. Used it last night to call, but this am is when the red light appeared.

thanks
HNY

Take the battery out NOW!!! Also, remove anything else that is user-removable to open the device as much as possible. Then, let it sit completely unused for a couple of days so it can dry - DO NOT USE IT!!! Moisture in the device may be creating a short and you could fry the CPU or memory by still putting power through it. If nothing has been damaged yet, letting it dry completely may save it. Keeping it powered before it has dried is the worst choice.
