I have a cingular 8125 and just purchased a jabra bt620s stereo headset. I have been able to pair the headset with the phone but when playing music, it will not come through the headset, which is the main reason for getting the headset. I have tried support from cingular, HTC, and jabra but have not been able to get any help. I'm assuming that the mp3 portion of the phone needs to be paired but cannot find anything in the manuals on how to do this. Can anyone help?
I had the same problem. You need the BTAudioOff.exe, BTAudioOn.exe, and BTAudioToggle.exe files. They force all sound to go to your BT device. I can email them to you if you like. I can't remember the website for where I found these files.
I installed A2DP on my phone and was able to connect the headphones to play the mp3. It skips occasionally. Does the files you mention below prvent skipping?

BTAudioOff and the rest of the group of BTAudio files simply redirects all of the sound that would go to the speakers to your BlueTooth headphone, and it doesn't give you the flexibility that A2DP has... but... the TMobile MDA and the 8125 don't have enough processing power to easily work stereo music & bluetooth conversion & the phone simultaneously, so the music sometimes skips...
I'm still waiting for a better solution, since I don't like using wired headphones....
I have the 8525 and also would like to use a wireless head phone to listen to music. If someone could please send me an email with these toggle files as well I would appreciate it. davemcsheffrey@comcast.net

You don't need those files. Your device already has the A2DP profile. You just need to set up your wireless headphones and listen away.
Though the 8525 does support A2DP there is some reliability issues with the current MS stack for the bluetooth. There is supposed to be a ROM upgrade release that is rumored to be an aku 3.3 which will significantly upgrade the bt stack. Also over in XDA they are trying to import the widcomm bluetooth stack and make it compatible with the 8525.
I have a Motorola H-350 Bluetooth headset. The only time I can hear whats playing on my MP3 is if I tap the headset like I am going to make a voice request phone call. It last for a few seconds and then asks who I want to call. Sooo I know it is compatible. Would you mind sending me those files too? freemonink@cox.net thanks mucho!
This was an amazing post. Most people would not know to get those files. This should be a sticky for the 8125. If I can ever afford a BT stereo headset, this will be priceless. I am waiting till I can afford the ones that don't have any wires and you don't wear it like a necklace. Whats the point in BT if it still has wires LOL

also if you want a little better sound quality then i would suggest htweakc i have already uploaded it and its a great hack program and you can mount your extended rom and other stuff with it. also check out some of the other software i have uploaded.

Hi Nate, I installed the a2dp cab and also paired my heaphones but I can not get my music to play on them. It will try to make a call and I can hear the music for a couple of seconds but that's it. Any ideas on how to get it to switch to headphones all the time. I don't really want to use the other files because I want to be able to skip forward songs with the headset which requires a2dp.
BTW I have tried checking off hands free, wireless stereo, and headphones in all different combinations and each one by themselves to no avail.
cingular 8125
ok I dont have a bluetooth stereo device so my expirence is limited to what I have read and googled so this is what I came up with try this and let me know if it works. http://www.pocketpcaddict.com/forums/file500.html

That program basically does the same thing as using those three cab files mentioned earlier. I am actually using a program similar to that. Again though, no forward/reverse skip function like with a2dp. If anyone has been able to get it working on a 8125 please let me know how you did it. Thanks
ok I knew it could be done but never did it, ok I google searched xda developers amd came up with how to do it. You can go into the registery and hack it manually or if you follow this thread I have posted you will notice a cab. called tornado ad2p in third post on the thread download it install it and this will give you ad2p on your wizard.

uhhhhhhhhhhhh........
sweeeeeeeeet!
This is the one. It works great. Thanks so much. This is the solution for all 8125 users wanting a2dp funtionality. I can pause, skip f/r with it. Be warned though, your songs will skip every once in a while. There is no fix for that. A2dp puts a heavy load on the phone and it can't handle it perfectly, that's why it did not come equipped with it. If you can't deal with it, use the three files mentioned earlier. If your like me and don't mind much and would sacrifice that for the added freedom of being able to control it all from the headset, then use this. It is great for working out or riding.
ps, post the pictures too. You HAVE TO hold your stylus down on it until it says edit, then choose the "use as wireless stereo" option. Do that last, after pairing and checking the appropriate boxes. It won't work otherwise.
So it took me a little while but I see I wasnt completly useless.
ok there is also a way to solve the skipping, what you do is install HTweakC and go to bluetooth tweaks and select, bluetooth device, and then Improve BT AD2P sound quality, and then select excelent in the drop down menu. http://www.pocketpcaddict.com/forums/file491.html
Ok now that should improve it quite a bit but this will insure the best sound. Download Battery Status, after doing so go into options and overclock to 247mhz and this should solve any issues you might have with BT audio. http://www.pocketpcaddict.com/forums/file469.html
well good luck man

Wow,I was already doing cartwheels.....now I think I have peed myself. But seriously, I might try the tweek thing but I don't really want to us the batt thing to overclock. I have seen some desktops fry, I am sure it is probably completely saf and verified....but still......I love this phone, and overclocking is something I want to stay away from. I still pretty excited about the new a2dp ability though. I might even try the tweek. Thanks, you have helped make my phone awesome, LOL
I understand being a little worried about overclocking but its a great program to have I would definately give it a try you dont have to overclock its a great program without using its overclock feature. Also I wouldnt suggest using something that could really harm your ppc. I suggested 247mhz because thats what I keep mine on all the time. I ocationally nug it up to 260mhz but you could just go to about 221mhz just when you use the bt audio. Also you will be able to monitor your cpu temp with battery status.

This is a safe overclocked setting I keep mine set at 247 all day long with no issues.
