I bought my 8525 a couple of weeks ago but am just now getting familiar with it enough to realize that it’s not reading the memory card. I bought the memory card in the Cingular store at the same time I bought my pocket PC… a SanDisk 1.0 GB micro. My son has a cell phone with a 250mb card that is about a year old. We tried my card in his phone and saved pictures to it just fine, and when we put his card in my 8525 it showed up just fine in the Settings>Memory>Storage Card screen. Mine just shows up as “Not installed”. Sounds like a compatibility issue to me. What do you think?

Randallm,
I am using a SanDisk 2g card in my 8525 with no problems.
One thing I would try is put it in, say, a Motorola Micro SD Adapter. Then, stuff that in the appropriate card reader slot on your computer or printer or USB SD card reader. See if the computer recognizes 1.0 gig on your card. If so, likely a faulty 8525 and head back to Cingular Store. If not, try to format the micro SD card. I think it uses a FAT 32 structure. . . many on this forum smarter'n me will correct that if wrong.
Try saving the data on the card somewhere else (on your pc is a good idea) and then formatting the card (from your pc.)
If you don't have a card reader on your pc...then maybe you can format it from your son's phone? Or just take the card back to Cingular and swap it out...
It should work, there are people with the 8525 running 2gb cards, like Pete said...and if they sell it at the Cingular store, it should work w/o any hassles...
For a final update... I switched to a 2 gig card and have had no problems since. Later I heard that there have been intermitten problems with the 1 gig micro in the 8525.
SilentKill, when connected to your computer you should be able to go into Windows Explorer or My Computer and find the sd card and just drag and drop or copy and paste to it just like any other drive or card.
Is there a way to setup my 8125 so the sd card is recognized as a drive to store to when I plug in the usb to my computer?
Yes if you go into activesync and disable the usb connection it should only show up as a mass storage device. Another option is getting wm5torage which will put you into mass storage mode.
