My apologies if this is not the correct forum for this question and also if it's been posted before (I did search, honest). I have what is an old PPC now namely an O2 XDA running MS PPC 2002 version 3.0.12039 (Build 11178), the processor is an ARM SA1110 and 63MB memory. I use this only as a mobile phone, sat nav (Tom Tom 5) plus Memory Map and it copes quite nicely with these softwares however I decided I would like to put more maps on the SD card for use with memory map but at 256mb I did not have enough space so out I goes and without a second thought purchased a 2 GB SD card. I slapped it in the slot and yes I have more storage space now but not the 2 GB but 1 GB. I believe this is a limitation of either the hardware (XDA) or software (MS PPC 2002) and not the card. Now the question "What options are open to me to make the XDA realise it has a 2 GB card and not a 1 GB ?" if indeed this is possible, I suspect I am on a hiding to nowhere with this problemette.
