Unhappy HP rw6828 keeps dropping out

Over the last few days my HP rw6828 has repeatedly dropped out after connecting with a caller for about 10 seconds. Sometimes it lasts less time than this. It's not a question of coverage, as often I have been in parts of the city with good signal strength.

I read that somebody had a similar issue with this some time ago.

There doesn't appear to be a patch or defect notice on the hp website. Any suggestions? I imagine that I have no alternative but to take it back.

Also, does anyone with a similar unit know how to have the lock feature turn automatically after a period of disuse? Regularly, I seem to be forgetting to lock it and calling people accidentally.

hullo there! not sure if you got your answer yet - but the same thing happened to me the first couple of months i started using my phone. what i do now is when i'm done using it, i hold the "call end" button down a little longer to lock the phone before putting it away. it might help you with the unlocked phone problem.

Thanks Lappyc, I have ceased using the phone function on my machine and have reverted to my old phone, which is very annoying. Apparently, there is a software update for it, which I will inquire about. Hopefully that will fix it.

Yes, I have discovered the unlock feature. Thanks again.
