Magnetic clasp case for 8125 – Friend or Foe?

Hello, I have a 8125 and I hear that if you put them in a case with a magnetic clasp, your phone will start to loose data and other funky stuff will start to happen. I've read other forums that say this to be true with other type PDA phones, and was wondering if anyone else with a 8125 has had any issues with their phone using a magnetic clasp case.

The 8125 ships with a case that has a magnetic clasp. I think you'd have to have some seriously strong magnetics before you would really have to worry about data loss becoming an issue...

Hey namdaka,

I don't know about the 8125, but I have definitely experienced something similar with a Motorola RAZR and Rhino case that had a magnetic clasp. NOT GOOD. But I can only assume that if the 8125 comes with a case w/ a magnetic clasp, that at least that specific case would be ok to use. It may be a "case" by "case" situation

I have the 8125 with the magnetic clasp and have had no problems... also, i work in a place wher the magnetism is so strong that it will erase your credit cards and you cant even go into if you have a pacemaker. I bring my 8125 in there with me for work reasons and have never had a problem. so i would think the clasp is safe to use.
