I'm new to this smartphone stuff and have only just brought my M600, which I'm overall VERY impressed with...
However I've just splashed out and brought a 1GB SD card for it to replace the 128mb one I have been using up till now and now have a problem...
The phone recognises the 128 card fine, including all the files on it, but when I take that out and insert the 1GB one it does not recoginise that it's in at all! The memory screen says "not installed" and I can't get it to work!
Do I need to format the card? If so how do I do that if the phone won't recognise it? My 128 card has been used previously in our digital camera so maybe that's why it works?
Should I try the 1gb in my camera and try to format it there? I don't want to risk the card so I haven't done it yet....
You could try it in your camera, doing this will not cause any harm! All it will do is format the card in either FAT or FAT32 format and create a directory or two.
If you have a card reader on your computer, you can try formatting it on that, perhaps with or without a label.
