I have just got setup with a Cingular 8125 and as most new users, I have questions!!!!!!
I bought a 512mb miniSD card and cant seem to get it to work. The device just doesnt recognize it being in the slot. I am not sure if I put it in right or is there something in the software that has to be configured. I cant find any pictures of how to put it in, I would appreciate some help.
Also, is 512mb going to be enough space? Can programs be installed to the card or is the card used for file storage only.
I did get the device hooked up with my exchange server at work and love it so far. I am looking forward to all the cool things this phone can do.
u picked a good phone. 512mb should be enough....but just like a lot of things with pocket pcs, it all depends on what ur trying to do with the phone. if u plan on downloading songs or movies/videos, or planning to store a lot of files, then u might wanna upgrade. I got a 1 gb card for $26 on ebay.
and yep you'd can download and install apps/games directly to the card. if u've already downloaded and installed games or apps prior to using a mem card and u want to move it to the card, just uninstall and when u reinstall, it'll give u the option to save to the card..
I have a question about the 128mb Flash Rom that is apparently built into the sytem. I cant see it anywhere?? It is listed in my device information but when i click on memory it just shows a total of 64mb? are they considering memory storage in this case? if so then does that mean i cant upgrade my flash memory? this seems completely backwards compared to a pc
