Backing up contacts

I was going to hard reset me 6700. I am mildly confused on how to backup my contacts. that is the only thing that i care about. Since my my PPC is synced up with my PC is that good enough? Or is there someother way i should backup my contacts.

If you already have your contacts in Outlook, it is backed up and will sync up with your device after hard resetting. So no need to hesitate.

Ugh, i didnt quite understand what you meant. I thought you meant if i had my contacts in my phone, it would sync up. I obviously was mistaken as i dont even have outlook installed on my pc I think i am SOL for my contacts.

If you synched your phone to your computer it will transfer your contacts from your phone to your computer, but you will need outlook for that to happen.

If you have a Yahoo! email account you could use Yahoo! Go, a program which allows you to sync your contacts as well as photos and mail... although you will need internet service on your phone for this.

But, I highly recommend Outlook... that would be the best solution.

Keep us updated and let us know your progress.

I had my contacts in a different phone so it took about 20 minutes to get them back in my 6700. I appreciate the replys. I will diffently get outlook installed on my pc soon. does this save everything including ringers and such? or does it just save names and numbers.
