I'm new to the world of Pocket PC's and to this forum. I have an hx2490 and, while figuring it out has been interesting overall, frustrations are begining to build, as one other member described, my hx2490, 100% charged, also looses charge when unplugged. WiFi & Bluetooth are off and brightness isn't set to decrease. Help? Next - I can't connect to wifi. A forum member with the same problem posted a guide for setting to wifi -- I can't get past the end of step 2, as the wifi button remains amber, not turning green (or 'on') as stated. While only moderately computer literate myself, I have help from someone who's life is computers & networking (imagine his frustrations over not being able to get it to connect?). After reading another member's (ianO's) response regarding his home networking, ours was checked inside out. All is fine there. Any help would be more than appreciated!
Welcome to Pocket PC Addict Kee and I apologize for getting to you so late on this post. I'd assume that there is something up witht he power profiles that are set in the settings area of your Pocket PC, see if you can't play around with the options you have there. As far as WiFi goes, have you tried leaving your WiFi connection unlocked to see if it will connect without security? Try that and let us know!
