Axim x51v as a handheld monitor?

Crazy talk, I know.. but...

Any possible way to rig up a cable that would run between the monitor OUT of a PC into the Axim so I could use the Axim as a little monitor of PC/Appliance?

Thoughts?

Actually, I've seen it done but not with a monitor cable just the sync cable or cradle. Don't remember where. If its not here, its on Aximsite.

What you need is a VGA Cable, BoxWave have a good one.

I know about the VGA OUT cable....

I gues, I am looking for a way to use that cable, attach it to a PC.. and boot the PC. When it boots, I want it to use the AXIM as the monitor... possible?

Mmmm. You want it the other way around i see. That's not possible.

Besides why would you do that it got small screen and other factors too...

Bummer....

Use Case ??? I have an IT Appliance in my computer lab.. it is has a web-base administration interface...yet, it has the ability to hook up a monitor (and mouse and keyboard) to do some work on it. I was thinking, wouldn't it be great if I could just hook up a device like the AXIM to be a light-weight monitor.

Axim as a desktop extension/ second monitor Here
However, this would require a computer with USB to connect the cradle.
