I have a weird problem, my PPC connects just fine to my wireless connection in my bedroom where the access point is located. But, in my living room I have a range extender to extend my wireless signal, the PPC cannot connect to the wifi.
It just shows available and connecting, but never ends up getting a wireless connection. I have WPA-PSK security, but like I said that works fine in my bedroom where it is near the access point. I am using a netgear router and a linksys extender. Also, my laptop in the living room works fine with the extender.
Welcome to Pocket PC Addict mitan! Unfortunately there are times when I wish that all wireless devices would would together in harmony. However they dont. Because of this I believe that your Linksys Extender is not compatible with your Acer n300. I'd recommend trying to remove all security on your network and try to connect again.
Tim, thanks for the greeting and the response. Whats weird is I don't think my acer is not compatable, but all Wifi enabled PPCs. A few of my friends with Wifi enabled PPC phones could also not connect to my network, but the minute they are in my bedroom where the router / access point is they were connected just fine. Do you think there will be an update for this? Is this even a known issue?
