I have a Cingular 8125 (HTC) and have been having problems with storage memory. I want to transfer some of the programs and files to the storage card but I have not been able to clean the card. Even though thru explore I have deleted all files it still shows over 600K in use and only the remainder of 300k or so left.
Is there a way to format the card?
Also the problem I have been expereincing is low storage space on the device and I wonder whether this invovled Sbp Pocket Plus I have installed. I have written them about it but have not received a reply yet.
I am also having a problem with my new (2 day old) 8125. I try to take a picture and get a "not enough memory" message. Is there anywhere that has a real manual for this phone?
Have you looked at the manual which is on the CD that came with your phone? Go to page 74.
What I found is that when you exit a propgram, hit the "X" icon, the program closes but it remains in memory. You can verify this by going to setting, memory and execute the option "running programs" to see what programs are still active. You'll see when you go to page 74 that there is a way to remove the previous programs you were running from memory. I'm using Sbp Pocket Plus which has an option that when you exit a program you really remove it from memory.
However, I've been having a problem with storage space that may or not be caused by that Sbp Pocket plus addon. I should know in a day or so what their tech support says. If my problem isn't caused by their software, then I would recommend it since it has many nice features but hold on unitl I found out what they say.
Hi, Jerrbitt! Have you checked that it's not some hidden files on your storage card?
As for the picture memory, I think the 8125 is basically the same as the TMobile MDA... :-/ In settings for the camera, just tell it to use the storage card for your pictures and videos...
Finally, as to the storage space issues, just my 2 cents worth that every so often I have to reinsert the card because my MDA doesn't recognize it... this could have different causes, but I'm still investigating...
