Hi all! By now most of you know I just got a T-Mobile MDA and am frustrated with the lack of Bluetooth A2DP profile support, which would allow me to use a handsfree stereo headseat for listening to music as I drove, without losing the handfree phone function.
Today I found out about an un-official ROM upgrade that adds this profile... from another forum. The posting is called it "T-Mobile USA 2.24 Custom ROM (Wizard/MDA)".
Do you think it's a good idea to "hack" my system? (that sounds ominous)

Well if your willing to sacrifice of loosing your warranty if its still have and if you have read some of the response to that forum that they have succesfully upgraded thier ROM (with no problem and and its still working) and you know what you are getting to, you might try it.
But if you could wait for T-mobile to release thier offical ROM upgrade (just hope they will), the better.
My advice if better wait for the official upgrade, than be sorry if your device will get some problems from the un-official ROM upgrade (no offence to the guys that created that ROM).

and it includes comments from users that have tried it. My own experience is that it interferes with Voice Commands, since the music is mixing with the microphone input, but once a call comes through, it is reset, and needs to be executed again... so there are no long term effects... and my headset sounds pretty good...
I dint think you should do any modifications . If you do it then its big gamble....i tryed to makes some changes to my Eten M600 and thing's went bad (belive me i know the programing )....but then again if ur willing to take a chance...."good luck" and hope it works....
Welcome to Pocket PC Addict obender! An update for the T-Mobile MDA should be released in the near future (read end of summer) but you can also try refrshing T-Mobile's support page until there is an update
Another place to look for news about it is try to visit our forums from every now and then. I believe we have a lot of members that is using that device. I bet that when the news will broke-out chances are it will be posted here.
