Poor phone volume

Is anyone else having a problem with low volume when receiving a call? I have my volume turned up all the way, and yet, have trouble hearing in a restaurant? Any solutions?

dreyes:

Are you sure you are turning up the call volume? You might be turning up the Pocket PC volume instead. Try raising the volume while you are in a call. That might do the trick. If not, you should consult other Verizon XV6700 users to see if they are running into the same low volume problem.

Yes, I am sure it is the phone volume I am adjusting. I have heard this complaint from other users. I'm hoping someone has a fix.

Thanks for your reply.

Have you tried to Hard Reset your device? But before you do, make sure you have backup your contacts and data.

Yep. Its been that way since I bought it. BTW, I don't think my original message indicated that I am using a XV6700.

Thanks for the suggestion.

If thats the case it might be Hardware problem. Why don't you try to have it check.

Michael... it's because I'm psychic. That or because you said you had an XV6700 in your profile.

BTW, I knew it couldn't be an easy solution like I stated (raise the call volume) but it didn't hurt to ask. My guess is that since you've heard of other XV6700 users having the same problem, a future ROM update should definetly do the trick.
