Hi,
I have subscribed to Fax Service from my GSM mobile operator ( Warid Telecom ), and have been using the said service with my Nokia 9500.
Now I have changed my handset to Imate Jamin. Here I am unable to find any link or program whereby I can fax-out a document to a fax machine, and whenver I try an incoming fax, the phone just keeps on ringing, but does not starts the fax.
Please advise me how can I use fax feature of my mobile connection on Imate Jamin?
You should run this past your carrier's tech support people. They will know both the product and the handset. This is especially true since you have also changed OS on the handset which may require adding software to use the fax service.
As per my information, till-date this Imate Jamin does not support fax.
As its based on newer version of Windows Mobile, so no such software for fax has been developed for it.
Any comments !!!
Looks like the only hope would be that your has a web site where you can manage faxes or that they support fax sending and receiving through email. I have used this option with Efax in the past, but they are not tied to any specific carrier.
You could purchase an app like KSE Truefax, which does the entire process on your device. I have used this in the past over a GSM network using a PPC connected to a GSM/GPRS phone. But I think they have released a couple of phone-based versions now. It is fairly straightforward and suited my needs well.
