I've tested all devices from the 6700's from Verizon and Sprint to the Cingular 8125, the Palm 700w, Samsung i730 and the latest Motorola Q. All seem the same to me, although Ihad to work with data engineers at Cingular because my VPN and Goodlink connections needed to be on separate networks, wierd. I like the look of the 8125 over the 6700 bricks, the Q is nice but the screen is too small. I like the feel of the 700w, probably because I've used a 600 and 650 over the past 2 years. If you had to pick which one and why?
Which pocket pc I recommend. Try the HTC 8125 it has wifi, windows 5.0, pocket msn, 200 processor, 64mb, slot for up to 2Gb ssd min card slot, camara, video, mp3, player. If you want to have a camera, mp3 player, video, lapto, cell phone, voice recorder and stereo system all in one and pay less than a ipod put together this is you phone.
I did test and I really did like the 8125, only issue was the manual switching between their MediaNet network and custom network they had me set-up so that I could access my corporate VPN.
Yeah the 8125 is great, but you're right about Cingular being funky about the portal you have to use to access your VPN (I believe it has something to do with public and private IP addresses). Anyway, because you've used a Treo 650 before, I'd recommend the Treo 700w, simple because you are used to the form factor (and it looks like you had no problems with it), but you get all the goodness of Windows Mobile. However, you'll miss out on the WiFi. Is that important to you?
WiFi is a nice feature, but I can deal without it. The only problem I have with the Treo is the screen size, but you're right the form factor is perfect, especially after being a Treo customer for the past 2 years. Maybe I'll stick with my 650 until the new devices come out later this year? Too bad the 8125 couldn't be on Verizon's network.

Yeah, its too bad that the 8125 isn't on VZW, but hey, you win some, you lose some. We'll see what happens before the year ends...
