Unhappy Trouble installing Ethernet Adapter in iPAQ.

I bought a TrendNet TE-CF100 compact flash ethernet adapter and cannot get a connection to internet here at work - no proxy server just a simple T1 through a server. ISP is detected. Driver installed OK. It id's the network. Should I set "Network Card Connects to" WORK or INTERNET. In advanced settings should I be selecting that "programs that automatically connect to the internet connect using" MY ISP, MY WORK NETWORK, OR MY ISP NAME? or do I even have to bother with that....

I have an iPAQ 2400 series with Windows Mobile 5.0. Called Trendnet and they said they do not support the OS, but girl did not really know what a pocket PC was and I have read other having simple success in Mobile 5.0 with this device. Help Please - Thanks in advance...

Welcome to Pocket PC Addict Bob! If it is just a simple connection I coul set the "My network card connects to" INTERNET. You should just leave the other settings to default. Have you tried to play around with the settings? I might need more information to see what's actually going on.

Hope this helps!

Not supported

I am resolved to the fact that Trendnet does not support WM 5.0. Maybe they will provide a driver someday but the fact that their installation program was on floppies does not give me much hope. Anyone want to buy the thing??? Let me know. Check their website to see if your OS is supported.

Well... that would have been my next guess since Trendnet isn't that big of a company. Sorry to hear that it didn't work for you. Let us know if you are going to get one that is compatible with Windows Mobile 5.0!
