I have my toshiba E310 (still) and bought a 512mb card. i have a 128mb card on it now. how do i transfer all the stuff from the smaller card to the bigger card without a crad reader. make a folder on desktop, copy paste to the folder, put the new card in and copy paste to it?
also, recently the pda just hard reset itself, so there are no programs. if i goto start>programs they are in the list. how do i reinstall them on the pda?
thanks again!

It's okay to admit that you have an "archaic" PDA, I say if it still works, why not? The easiest way to transfer over files is how you described it: Just copy all the files over from the old SD and copy it back on to your new one.
If you want to reinstall your programs back on your PDA create a new partnership in ActiveSync on the same PC that you usually sync from, (you'll have to since your device hard reset itself) and then go to Tools and then Add/Remove Programs. You should then be able to check off all the programs that you want to be installed back on your Pocket PC since the installation program of Pocket PC software usually makes a copy of the software on the PC before copying it to the device.

i have another suggetions Sir,
Why not use Card Export, you can use it so that you can use your pocket pc act as a card reader.
I hope this helps...
You may also want to consider purchasing a card reader...they are fairly inexpensive and can transfer data at a much faster rate than using Activesync. Using a larger card usually means adding more files, so you will likely be happier in the long run using a card reader.
Also, what you copy and paste to your PC from the card will largely depend on what types of files you have on the card. If you are looking to copy programs you previously installed to the card, that will not work very well, as the "pointers" (The files on your device that tells your PPC where to look for the installation or .exe file) on your device will no longer be there. You'd be better re-installing to programs to the new card. Also, once the programs are re-installed you will need to re-enter any user names and unlock or registration codes for the programs as well.
If it is text, music or video files, these should move between cards pretty easily. (Depending on file size - AS is notorious for SLOW file transfers on larger files) I would recommend you keep backup copies of all files like this on your main PC as well, since it will be easier to copy them directly from your PC to a new card, rather than copying from one card to the other in the future.
Tim's right on about the "Add/Remove Programs" in Activesync, but you can also find the original installer for your programs as well, and then install the programs from those files as well.
For the future, you may want to consider what I do: I keep a CD backup of all the files I have installed on my device, so that I always know where to find the original installation files, in case of a HD crash, or migration to a new PC. I also keep a Excel file with all of the registration codes to go with the programs, but a text file would work just as easily, and keep that on the CD backup as well.
