I'm currently thinking about buying a pocket pc w/wifi. I've noticed that on current models, wifi is listed as 8211b. Are pocket pc's coming soon with 8211b/g wifi?

Welcome to the forums!
To answer your question, most models have 802.11b because of performance and memory demands. And most Pocket PCs don't "officially" have 802.11g but I just posted a tip the other day about unlocking 802.11g on the HTC Wizard and HTC Universal. Check it out here!
