The i-mate JAM has a new brother called the i-mate JAMin and is dressed to impress with some significant differences. If you are in need for some speed, Windows Mobile 5.0 with EDGE may be of help with this device in addition to built-in WiFi 802.11b/g. Although the processor has changed from Intel Bulverde 416 MHz to the TI OMAP 850 at 200MHz, i-mate has made a nice gesture with 128 MB ROM though the 64MB RAM has remained the same. Do not be deceived however by the numbers alone because the two processors can not be compared from one aspect only (i.e. clock speed). For those of you that enjoy the more visual features of a handheld device, the i-mate JAMin has upgraded the camera to 2 megapixels with a macro feature that will allow you to capture more details and all the pretty little flowers you’ve been waiting to take pictures of.
