HTC Galaxy/Qtek G100/i-Mate PDA-N PocketPC with GPS and WiFi

"The French got it first, now Dutch site Pocketinfo has a detailed review of a pre-production Qtek G100 (aka, HTC Galaxy, i-Mate PDA-N and whatever cryptic names Orange and T-Mobile are likely to dream up) Windows Mobile 5.0 PocketPC with GPS and WiFi. Manufactured by HTC, this is their first PocketPC with built-in GPS and features a 300MHz processor, 64MB of ROM and 128MB RAM (or 128MB ROM and 128MB RAM in the i-Mate flava), a 2.8-inch LCD capable of 240 x 320 pixels, Bluetooth, 802.11b, and SDIO expansion slot. They give the G100 high-marks for "extraordinary" GPS reception and "spotless" navigation via TomTom's software and very clear screen on a slim attractive device. However, they also found the WiFi range limited to a short 25-meters, a stylus which felt "fragile" and rather uninspiring joystick. Remember folks, this is pre-production review but it looks like HTC has another winner on their hands when the Galaxy/G100/PDA-N drops "soon" for about €399/$470. Click-on for the details in glorious babelfished Dutch if you dare."
