I am an extreme rookie and have a Garmin Ique M3 and am trying to hook up to the internet via a Wireless network. It says I need a ethernet card. My question is what card and where the heck does it go?
Hi and welcome to the forums!
I checked on the specs of your device, and it does not appear to have WIFI. So your options for connecting to the internet are as follows:
1 - be connected to your PC via the sync cable and activesync OR
2- purchase an SDIO wireless card. This will add WIFI to your device via the SD Card slot.
While all Pocket PC's come with Pocket Internet Explorer, before you use it, you have to have a way to connect to the internet.
SanDisk is popular, and runs about $100, you can google on SDIO Wireless Card and check out what else is available. If you are interested in shopping online, I always check out buy.com and newegg.com for good prices. For many things, I prefer brick and mortar tho, in case I have any trouble and need to return the product. Much easier to go back to a store than to have to ship something back.
Let me know how your search comes out, and if you have any other questions!
