Hello, I need some information/advice on buying a Pocket PC.
I was wondering if a Pocket PC's could handle these things:
- be an mp3 player
- be a pdf/document reader
- be a mobile phone
- be used to develop software on (not big stuff, more like hobby stuff)
- connect wires/wirelessly to the internet through home router
do pocket pc's do all this stuff? what do you think is the best one (power and price) if they do?
thanks.
Yes, all Pocket PC's have Windows Media Player installed (which is able to play .wav, .mp3, .wma, etc.) and there are other addon programs you can buy if you are not satisfied.

Adobe Reader for the Pocket PC is avaliable at Adobe.com for free. Although if you use this program, I recommend you get a hi-res device.

Make sure you get a smartphone (Certain type of Pocket PC)

Theres eVC++ for the desktop... but for the Pocket PC itself, choices are limited. There's a few compilers at www.freewareppc.com.

You can't do it wired unless you have a wired plug-in card, and if you plan to do use wireless you need a built in wireless chip or an add-on card.
