GM Stereos To Include Minijack Input

This little addition to the car stereo is a long time coming. Instead of fumbling with a cassette tape adapter, or one of those FM transmitters, you will soon be able to go straight to the source with one of these Audio Input Minijacks. GM will be installing them in the Chevy HHR, Impala, Monte Carlo, Cadillac DTS and a few other models.

Yes, long overdue. I have had a jack on my aftermarket car stereo for 4 years.

Started out plugging in an MP3 CD, then a laptop for watching movies. Now a Dell Axim X50v for music, GPS, etc...

So did I. I was just pointing out that it has been minimally available aftermarket for several years and its about time the factory units caught up.
