pocketnow unboxes the Asus MyPal A730 and put's it through the paces. "The Asus MyPal A730, with its integrated 1.3 megapixel camera, VGA screen, dual memory slots, and wireless capabilities, promises to be a viable Pocket PC media companion. We take a deep look at this device to determine whether the MyPal will be your pal. The Good
• Beautiful 3.7" 640x480 VGA display, with Landscape rotation on the fly
• Lightweight and small, sleek design, fits in your pocket
• With current rebate, a good value for non-power users The Bad
• 1.3 megapixel camera is good for little more than a novelty
• Battery life is terrible
• Ships with Windows Media Player 9 instead of 10 "
I'm kind of amazed that the battery life isn't better. I've been extremely pleased with the results of my MyPal A716. I just wish there were more accessories available for the Asus line.
I tell you, I've been more than thrilled by the MyPal. Having the dual slots and the wi-fi has been awesome. To anyone looking for a very capable PDA, I can't recommend the MyPal any more strongly. By virtue of having it and showing off at work, the office is now getting PDAs for everyone. Now if I can just get my cut. . . .
