iPaq h5555 battery expansion pack issue

I have an iPaq h5555 with a compact flash / battery expansion pack. Most every time I charge it up and remove it from the cradle I get an error message warning me that I need to recharge it or I'll lose all my information.
Anybody else have this problem?
Suggestions for fixes?
tia.

5555 Battery pack

Hi,
I also have the same problem. I can charge the pack up and it works fine on my 3850 (Lasts about 8hrs), but on my 5550 it charges up fine but tells me the battery is low after 15 minutes. Sure enough when I put it back in my 3850 it indicates a low battery as well.
I have spoken to HP technical support (Online version) and they have advised trying it with another 55xx series, but unfortunately I don't know anyone else who has one so I spoofed them. They sent me to the next level of support which involved premium rate helpline numbers, so I didn't progress any further, and still have no fixes.
So in conclusion my battery expansion pack still doesn't work
