I have a HP1945. I was trying to move some files over with ActiveSync (a mov file of my fav show) and it just wouldnt copy over. So, I was told AS has issues with big files (it was about 170MB) and was told to get a device that I could slap my SD card in and I could transfer the file to. So I did, after it transferred I figured I'd just pull the SD card out of the reader and slap it into my PPC and wham! Id have my show to watch....BUT the file doesnt show up when I try to access them thru file explorer or MMP on the PPC. Taking the SD card out and slapping it back in the reader my computer shows them on the card and I can run them from there on my PC. Why isnt the PPC seeing the files?? Am I missing something?
A few things I can think of:
On your PC, right click the file, click properties, and make sure the box called hidden is unchecked.
Put the sd card in your Pocket PC, and soft-reset, then open file explorer, browse to the SD card, and then tap-hold and click refresh.
Also, try something like creating a new text document on your PC on the SD card and see if your Pocket PC sees it.
I just use "explore" in windows to access the memory card and transfer my files that way.
I've done files over 200MB before and I have the 1945 as well.

This may sound supid but what do you mean by "soft reset?" do you mean turning the system off and then on again? Does the WMP in PPC only read certain extensions?
A soft reset is when you use the stylus in the small hole on the left side (when the screen is facing you) of the unit to reset.
A hard reset is when you do this while holding down the power button on top which erases everything on the system.

I think you may have hit the nail on the head re: file extensions. The PPC WMP does not recognise all media file extensions. What is the file extension? You might have to get another piece of software to view .avi or .mov
