New Pocket PC sports a touchpad, but using it isn't exactly intuitive. I have to admit, the notion of a touchpad on a PDA struck me as strange--and my first experiments with a shipping IPaq Hx4705 did little to change that perception.

I agree, the review is one of the worse reviews I have read in all my life, more about her personal opinion about touchpad in general than a technical review.
At the end she recommends the 6300 over the hx4700 even when she had problems setting or using her email in the first one.
The 6300 has only one word for me DISASTER, and if anyone disagree I would like to invite him to Brighthand forums to read how many people are complaining about how slow and how many time they have to softreset the 6300s.
I agree that the review was not the best; however people’s options and reviews help me decide which Pocket PC to put on my shortlist when buying a new PDA.
I also have to agree with ctitanic that it appears that the 6300 is going to be one of HP's failures, as people want a multi purpose device that functions correctly.
