Now this IS COOL! Dave's Ipaq is reporting on information that he recieved yesterday regarding BlueDock. It's a docking station for your Pocket PC. Now this could really make a pocket pc a laptop replacement! I don't have any information on the pricing but I am keeping my eye for these.
What's really cool is the fact that they are allowing interchangeable sleeves for the PPC so you purchase it once and switch out the sleeve for a new PPC. I love finding things like this!
You can see in Dave's picture that the Bluedock has changed from it's original configuration.
Original Bluedock: The product can be described as an “Intelligent Docking Station”
The new design has a interchangeable pocket which allows the BlueDock to support different devices or if you choose to upgrade your PDA the BlueDock will work with a new pocket inserted. At launch time several different PDA vendors will be supported
The BlueDock will support PPC2003 edition, Older Handhelds can be upgraded to 2003 for a nominal fee from the Manufactures website.
From Synosphere.com WHAT IS THE BLUE DOCK ?
Synosphere's Blue Dock is the world’s first PDA docking station that allows pocket handhelds to function as a primary computing platform.
- No need for an additional workstation or laptop
- Easily dock compatible pocket handhelds
- Create, modify, and edit data
- Experience Email, the Internet, and network resources.

Is it just me or does anybody else find it a little weird you can't see the whole iPAQ screen while it's docked? I know you'll likely have a monitor hooked up to it but it reminds me of an "iPAQ Toaster" the way it looks. Also, how do they achieve 800x600 resolution when WM2003 only supports VGA?

Hey -- now that would be a good idea...pop in a "Pop Tart" while I'm working.
I believe it's probably due the fact that they have now incorporated the idea of sleeves so that any PPC can work within the device.
As for the 800 x 600....I have no idea.
