Help! Socket Bluetooth SD card and Toshiba e805

Help! Please anybody. I just recieved a Socket Bluetooth SDIO card and I installed the SDIO connection kit from Socket's website. Nothing happens...except when I put the card in my Toshiba...It freezes! Nothing works when the card is inserted...I tap on Start and nothing happens...as soon as I take the card out...all of the icons that I was trying to hit start popping up....
Has anyone been able to install a Socket Bluetooth SDIO card in their e805 with WM2003SE installed?

bk, I have checked around and found several people successfully using the Socket SD bluetooth card with e800s. Both with FE and SE. What exactly is your card doing again?

I install the SD Connection kit from Socket and then I soft reset my Toshiba. Once I restart the PPC, if I put the sd bluetooth card in the device everything becomes disabled. I hit the start button (or anything for that matter) and nothing happens. Once I take the card out, everything that I tapped begins to pop up. So it's like it freezes my device when the card is in. :?
I don't get a bluetooth icon in the system tray or anything.

Does it sit like that forever? Maybe it's trying to pair up with something.

Well, I'd probably back up and hard reset just to make sure everything is like new. Then I'd try installing the card FIRST. If it fails then, it might be a defective card.
Just what I would do.

Don't you have to tell it to pair up with something? It just does it on it's own?

I think that is what I'm going to do.

I have determined that this card is defective and I contacted the seller on eBay to get a refund and return the card. We'll see what his response is.

James -- where did you purchase your Bluetooth cf card? I'm going with a CF card this time.

Did you use Paypal? if so you've got some buyer protection.

bk, get the Socket card- it's the only CF BT card that fits flush with the top of the PPC.

I emailed the seller and he is refunding the money back to me....I will still give him good feedback because I don't think he was deliberately trying to decieve me.

Yes, as a seller it is impossible to avoid some bad product from the manufacturer.
I have recently bought some Thunderbirds collectibles on ebay and awaiting delivery of that. It's from 2 different sellers and it will be interesting to see how the experience goes with each of them. One is in Ontario and the other in Hong Kong.

I opted to go with another SD card because I can keep it in my Vaja case. I don't plan on keeping it in all the time....besides.....I have a 1GB CF card that I keep all my movies/music/books on and I would rather switch something that is right there in my case than carry the CF card(s) in my pocket.

That's cool. I am into collecting vintage Thunderbirds toys from the 80's and 90's. All of this new stuff has recently appeared with the release of the new movie and it's now harder to ferret out the original stuff.
I'll PM him and see what he's got. Thanks.
