Bios Magazine has posted a short and sweet review of Bluetooth USB Printer Adapter that promises to convert your every day average printer into a Bluetooth compatible printer for easy printing from your Pocket PC. One possible drawback is it requires a printer with a USB port and prints at sub-802.11b speeds. However, the idea of "Toothing" my home printer is certainly intriguing. "Trust's latest gadget lets you upgrade your printer so it can accept Bluetooth print requests. After connecting the Bluetooth USB Printer Adapter (57x22x66mm) to any printer with a USB port, you can then print wirelessly at speeds up to 723Kbit/s (excluding printer bottlenecks, of course) using any Bluetooth-compatible device, such as a laptop or PDA. According to Trust, no additional software or drivers are required. Unfortunately, the device only supports USB printers, so you can rule out most legacy business printers, and there is no security software supplied. If you're looking for a faster solution for business, take a look at Troy's PocketPro USB Wireless print server (£168 ex. VAT), which allows you to share a printer on either an 802.11b wireless or 10/100Base-TX network."
What do you think of an add on like this? Would you use bluetooth printing if it was available?
