Even though Sandisk's new SD 256MB/WiFi SD card doesn't work on their Palm OS devices, one of Eweek's contributors says it "may be the coolest Pocket PC add-on" he's seen yet. Already having a WiFi CF card and plenty of SD storage disqualifies me from one of these cards, but they do look tempting.
From the article..."As the name implies, this card combines a 256MB storage card and an 802.11b wireless adapter into a single Secure Digital card, helping solve the problem of expansion-slot scarcity on handheld devices.
At a price of $130, the SanDisk unit makes an affordable add-on, and the included Wi-Fi connection software is well-laid-out and easy to use."
Yes yes! It's my favorite gadget and I don't even have it yet! I must be blind, the article says For more information, cruise to www.sandisk.com. But I can't find anything on it beyond pictures in the media kit.
But my eyes see only the item, they see past thine article and then mine eyes they ask, why do they torture us with no set release date?
Or was "Some articles are there for you to laugh at" not supposed to be the learning experience you had in mind for me...
I was just kidding around. I've been looking for that link too. My guess is eWeek got a review model or saw one at a trade show.
Something about your post reminded me of the funny ZDNet top software thread and I thought "here we go again..." hahaha..
My worst fear immediately was it was a joke, their taunting us with something too good to be true, and that's why it's not on their website XD
I sent them an email asking if there was a way to be notified when it came out, and I check SanDisk's site about once every 10-15 minutes...
I need it!!!
*faints*
