Infosync has a review of the new Axim X30. Larry gives the Axim X30 an 8.2 out of 10 but if you read the review you would never guess that he likes the device. I found that there were alot more negative points than positive points. But I believe he is trying to give you the straight poop on the Axim. BTW, I was playing around with my brother's X30 and I thought it is a great device...and suprisingly light.. Larry Garfield gets up close and personal with the MHz-monster that is the Dell Axim X30 Advanced 624 MHz, also sporting dual wireless and SDIO: Conclusion
Model confusion aside, buyers opting for Dell's high-end version of the Axim X30 are in for a treat. This handheld offers great connectivity options, a clean design, and some nice bonuses for a very good price. The downsides include the clumsy Wi-Fi configuration, clumsy screen rotation implementation, an anemic speaker, and a casing more boxy than stylish with a few rough edges. Wireless buffs, however, should appreciate the available options, especially at the total price of dirt cheap. What's positive: Dual wireless; good indicator lights; speedy What's negative: Clumsy Wi-Fi configuration; clumsy rotation; some sharp case edges Design: 8/10 Connectivity: 9/10 Specifications: 8/10 Software: 7/10 Value: 9/10
Overall score: 8.2/10
