Temperature Measurement Tool for Pocket PC

I can see this little device being used by food service workers, agriculture experts and scientists of all types. Tangent Systems, Inc.'s Versid ST-10b Temperature Acquisition Module Uses Bluetooth to Enable Wireless Connectivity to Hand Held and Other Computers. Which would allow you to take your temperature measurements and bluetooth them back to your Pocket PC.
"Tangent Systems, Inc. today announced the newest member in its line of Versid temperature acquisition modules. The Versid ST-10b is a single channel device offering laboratory grade accurate temperature input over the range of -300 F to + 1800 F and is capable of wireless connections to computers supporting industry standard Bluetooth protocols.
Featuring a compact design with an integrated belt-clip for easy use, the Versid ST-10b supports a wide range of Type K thermocouple sensors via the standard two-pronged mini connector. Rechargeable batteries and operation from an AC source mean the Versid ST-10b is always ready to go.
The rugged Versid ST-10b is compatible with Pocket PC. Windows Mobile Edition, Win CE, Win 32 and Palm OS based computers which support the Bluetooth serial profile. This unparalleled connectivity includes hand held, mobile, desktop, kiosk, and industrial computers as hosts and is not dependent on form factor or available expansion packs, ports or slots.
The Versid ST-10b used in conjunction with your computer creates a powerful platform for collecting temperature data in a wide range of applications from industrial processes to HAACP based food safety inspections. Going beyond the traditional digital thermometer, Versid modules and your computer can add time stamps to your data, collect other relevant data, suggest corrective actions and provide real time reporting, analysis and processing of collected data, even integrate into enterprise systems.
Tangent Systems offers a royalty-free software developers kit for third party and in-house programmers interested modifying existing programs, or creating new applications that take advantage of the power of the Versid platform. Controls and code libraries supporting Web based JavaScript applications, Visual Basic and C++ development along with complete documentation and sample code are available to qualified developers and users at no charge."
