There was a comment or two about this keyboard being too expensive. Be that as it may, who here will be ordering one of these babies?
Well, I think I'll be on board if I finally make a decision on my new ppc Right now, the new Axim is on the top of my list. SO this would would be the perfect companion. And to think, I didn't regard bluetooth as that important

In that photo it looks like the PPC stand is separate from the keyboard. I wonder why they did that? That will be another piece to carry around/ lose. I was wondering what kind of stand they would include and just assumed it would be similar to the ones built into the IR model.

Hmmm...maybe it will slip into the back of the keyboard or something so it won't be separate while traveling. Hadn't thought about the stand issue. Good point.
I've been talking about this keyboard over at gadgetaddict. Gary was lucky enough to get his review unit today and has posted a first impressions of it. Worth checking out. He also got to play with the OQO at CeBIT today and has some photos and impressions of that device too.

I'd rather have a separate stand. I haven't seen a good integrated stand on any keyboard so far, so hopefully a separate one will allow for a better one. It could also offer the potential for stands that are custom for a particular device.
With native landscape being offered with WM2003SE, the need to hold a PPC in different orientations is going to be important. Perhaps a separate stand will provide better placement.
With a separate stand, you don't even have to use it if you choose not to.
Also, I suspect that this BT keyboard will have uses beyond simply as a PPC accessory. I can see BT-equipped desktop PCs using this keyboard. In that use, there is no need for a stand.
It looks like the best of both worlds. According to Gary the stand apparently snaps off the keyboard for separate use.

I don't see what's so appealing about that I can do that with most keyboards, just apply a bit of brute force here and 'SNAP', Oop's!
I like the idea of BT keyboards, I'm just abit weary about how they would be charged. I wouldn't want to carry around a svelt PPC and keyboard then a brick of a mains charger for both devices!!
I guess maybe I should read the reviews.

So are rechargable batteries OK, in this unit?
Any idea of the battery life time (from rechargables)?
