Toshiba plans the addiittion of bluetooth to e800

PocketPCParadise is reporting that Toshiba will be adding bluetooth to the e800 devices. I wonder if this is the e830 that was talked about earlier?
The translated article also gives the URL for WM2003SE "www.pc.toshiba.fr ".
Toshiba announced today officially that its Pocket PC e800 will integrate from now on out of standard the benefit of Microsoft® Windows® Mobile(tm) 2003 Second Edition. The exit of new Pocket PC e800 Bluetooth(tm) and WiFi(tm) equipped with the new operating system Microsoft® Windows® Mobile(tm) 2003 Second Edition will be accompanied by the provision, in the next days, of a downloadable free update on Internet site www.pc.toshiba.fr in order to make it possible to the many owners of Pocket PC e800 to make evolve/move their companion of pocket with this evolution.

Living in the UK a bluetooth enabled device is almost essential if you travel, Due to the sever lack of WIFI hot spots.
Generally the only means of accessing mail away from your desk, is via a bluetooth connection with your mobile. Connecting in this manner has certainly saved by bacon a few times.
Even in the US I understand that not all WIFI hot spots are made equal, and the ability to surf the net via a connection with your mobile is an added benefit.
Personally I'm not going to even bother considering devices if they don't have WIFI and BT connectivity (+VGA Screen ). This was once of the reasons why I held back from grabbing an E800.
What about anyone else?

yea, unfortunately the e805 doesnt support bluetooth but i read that you can get a bluetooth card for it. so far bluetooth isnt that big in the states but you are right that wireless is not very accesible either.
i guess i will get the bluetooth attachment if and when i need it. at this point i dont think it is a total necessity for me.

The article stated that the SE update for current e800 owners will be released in the next few days. Bear in mind this is Toshiba France talking so release dates and features may only be pertinent to France.

I have a Bluetooth CF card which I only use to share my laptop's internet connection when WiFi is not available. I use Verizon so there is no BT enable phone or I'd use it for the data modem.

I use Verizon's Express Network on my laptop as I am often mobile during the day. It uses a Sierra Wireless PC card modem to connect to the net.
With BT on the PPC and built into the laptop I use ActiveSync's pass through internet connection to share the laptop wireless connection with the PPC.

very cool. i dont really have a need for that just yet. i am thinking that maybe in a year or so i may trade in my cell for a bluetooth enabled one and just use that to connect and check my email. for now, i am on the hunt for hotspots in nyc.

I still using my Bt phone and PPC to check my e-mail when I'm away from a desktop.
Can take a while though and be expensive .
I'd prefer the option to check my mail via WIFI as I understand it's super quick by comparison.
