PDAGold Review: Asus MyPal A716

PDAGold has posted a review of the Asus MyPal A716. According to the author, it's big on functionality but small on looks and size. There's been some talk lately on the forums about Asus being a great gaming PPC. The review is full of pictures and tons of information.
Conclusions:
First the advantages - excellent overall performance, wonderful display, perfect sound, good expandability, great communication features, favourable price and long battery life. On the other hand, something should be done about the large size and design, which (although better than that of LOOX, in my view), is far from stylish. Some improvements would be possible in the software; the manufacturer could consider the zero usability of some applications outside Asia. As compared to LOOX, I appreciated the unusually elegant case supplied with ASUS and the device's sleeker design. On the other hand, Siemens made a better choice of software. Taking all that into account, I think it is fair to give ASUS the same number of points as LOOX. :: The final rating is 93%

interesting review, but it surely did not modivate me to run out an buy one... and I am in the market to replace my 3950... just being patient.

You hit the nail right on the head....interesting device....but nothing real intriguing about it.....Keep being patient....get that VGA device....

I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on new WM2003se VGA machine, I just hope the cost doesn't take my breath away!
Personally I think that maybe this one got out the barn door a little too quick, fer my liken.
Not enough memory juice or cpu power, let alone an old volvo's styling.
