Personally, I've never played Mahjong. Sure it looks cool and all, but I'm not into dominoes, so I figured what looks to me like Asian dominoes wouldn't be any more appealing to me.
Be that as it may, I am always intrigued by Mahjong game reviews. :? Don't ask me why, I don't know. Today, Pyrogamer posted a review of GameBox Asia from PDAMill for the Pocket PC. "Gameplay:
GameBox Asia is not a difficult game to play per se; all you need to do is match and remove pairs of tiles in each of the three different games (Mahjong, Shisen-Sho, and Nagori). In Mahjong, you must remove all of the tiles from the board. Tiles must be removed in pairs and must be free of other tiles. To be free, a tile cannot be covered by another tile or have tiles on either side of it. In Shisen-Sho, a variation of Mahjong, tiles must also be removed in pairs. However, only tiles that can be connected by an imaginary line can be removed. Nagori is your basic memory game using the Mahjong tile sets. You are given 1-second to preview the board before all tiles are flipped over. Once flipped, use your memory to match pairs of tiles."
