hello. im a newcomer to this website and also a new owner of a cingular 8125 and im loving it so far, however i am having trouble downloading roms and emulators. everytime i want to download a new emulator its always giving it to me .zip forms which is causing my 8125 to tell me to either expand or cancel. i finally got one emulator to work called the pocketnes but when i try to download a rom for it, it gives me a .zip form and my 8125 says it cant find a .nes type. its wierd. i really want to download games on this.
also, when i want to download another file my "open with " selection always seems to change. shoudln'tthere be a permanent selection that i should have so it can open correctly?
ive been trying so hard to figure this out myself but i just cant. please help me out
.zip files are compressed files. Think of them like the briefcase George Jetson puts his flying car into. They take larger files and squeeze them into smaller files. The real file you need is inside the zip file. You should be able to open the zip file with your desktop computer, and put the file inside on your phone.
You can find .zip management software that runs on your device at www.freecabs.de as well as .cab install managers that let you direct .cab installations to alternate memory locations, like a memory card. Run on their own, .cab files will install to main memory.
