Talking CityPipe 1.0 - new game for Pocket PC

Hi, everyone.

I just finished a game for Pocket PC. It takes something from Plumber and something from Tetris. I hope you’ll enjoy it

Here’s the link:

http://lttlsoft.com/citypipe/CityPipe.exe

And here is a screenshot:

Any feedback (suggestions, bug reports, comments, etc.) is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

it froze up on lvl 2... too many pipes ended up being on the screen because I had to keep them from falling... i think i had like 30 differnt peices on the screen and I still didnt get the last one i needed, and this was on lvl 2...

Nice concept, but the random generator needs some work, like i said above, i had 30 pipes, all the same darn think for the most part, just wasnt giving me the "right to down" pipe.... also need a place to put the unneeded pipes... something like pipedream where you could blow them up for a loss in money.

That’s strange. It can handle 30 pipes easily. Did it freeze silently or with an error message?

I am surprised to know you have difficulties on level 2. All levels in demo version, except the last are very, very easy. They are essentially a tutorial of how to play.

That’s also a strange thing to hear because the random generator is actually pretty clever and very easy on the player. It helps the player as mush as possible to avoid or minimize the bad luck and leave everything up to the player’s skill. It analyses what pipes cannot be placed and doesn’t generate them. It analyses what pipes you need and increases the chances of generating them. It has lots of other tricks, all in favor of the player...

Thanks! It's a demo version with only 5 levels. For as low as $9.95 you can have the whole 36 levels
And I plan adding more levels to the game.

BTW, would anyone be interested in creating their own level packs for CityPipe?

Now all levels are stored in a text file, so there should be no problems for anyone to create their own levels. I just need to add a feature of loading the external "levels.txt" file instead of the built-in one... What do you, guys, think?

Wish it had a 'dead slow' option for us not-so-quick players. Good fun tho.

Ok, Ok, I'll do something in the next version. Probably will just make it easier. I am only affraid people start complaining that it is too easy

For now - practice! Grow your skills

Maybe on your device the game simply doesn't work correctly? This would explain freezing and bad random generator. Can you tell me the type of your device? Can you try to play the game again?

I just thought, maybe you don't know that the pipes can be rotated?
This would explain everything

On level 2 there are only 2 types of pipes generated, it is practically impossible to have 30 consequent curved pipes without at least a single straight one!

Hello, guys!

I released CityPipe version 1.1.

I made some levels easier, some harder to achieve more smooth and balanced gameplay.

I also added 4 more levels and fixed some minor bugs.

Download the new version here:
http://lttlsoft.com/citypipe/CityPipe.exe

BTW, the game is available for purchase at ClickGamer:
CITYPIPE - Windows Mobile Games, Pocket PC Games, WM2005 Games from clickgamer.com
